Eva awoke early the following morning, dressed and took Mary with her to visit Nora.
“Can you stay awhile?” Nora inquired.
“I wish that I could but I must return and get ready for the Frasier wedding.”

Eric saw his friend talking with his wife in the garden. He could not suppress the overwhelming since of jealousy he felt, even when he knew his friend just offered her words of comfort. What Eva overhead he knew had hurt her. He suddenly was ready to leave, he had confidence in how he could make her feel in the privacy of her bedchamber and he wanted to comfort her himself. They did not have to talk in the bedroom, and nothing came between them. They could be one no matter how each other felt about love. Eric said their good byes, grabbed her things, called for the carriage and headed for the garden.

The blood appeared to drain somewhat from Ben’s face as he looked at something over Eric’s shoulder. Eric turned. There stood his wife, witness to his tirade. She had tears in her eyes ready to spill over onto her beautiful cheeks. It was for the best. He walked to her and took her hands in his, they were trembling. Eric realized then what he already suspected, and Ben had just pointed out, she was in love with him.

Mr. Butler told me you will be joining him at the Frasier’s for the day.”

It had been an enjoyable day, but Eric was glad to be almost home. Eva would be waiting for him. He liked the thought of that. As he turned down the lane two figures were walking across the front lawn. It was his wife with the last person he would have wanted to find her with, David! He turned toward them. As he approached he saw David’s barely disguised glare, but Eva, she smiled cautiously, she realized he was angry. He held his hand out to her, without saying a word. She did not immediately take it. The hunt was a success. Afterwards, they dined and everyone wanted to hear about Eva. Ben did most of the talking.
“I overheard my sister jest with Eric about all the young women who will be mourning his marriage, but I must tell you, the world of men has been dealt a severe loss by losing young Eva to Eric.”
“Eric you must bring her tomorrow.” Anne pleaded.

A friend informed me a new IKEA opened in Tampa so we decided we would go and check it out. They were still having the grand opening so the parking was TERRIBLE! While we were in the area we visited the St. Petersburg Peir. A replica of THE Bounty ship was docked their so we took a picture. We also visited the International Plaza Mall in Tampa. They walked around and they were not to be found. Upon entering the house they could hear voices in the library. They entered and found Ben and Celeste playing a game of cards. After they saw Ben off she told Eric she was going to see Celeste to her room before she retired. Arm in arm they went to Celeste’s chamber. Celeste invited her in.
“You left me with Ben on purpose did you not.”
“I did, I hope you are not angry, it is just I could see you had an interest in him.”
Celeste hugged her. “It was the best time I have had in a long time, thank you. Now run along to my brother, he looked as though he was ready to devour you.” Read the rest of this entry »
He had needed her, and he could confirm the wanting, because he saw it in her eyes that day and he wanted her as well, beneath him. His mouth came to hers in a bruising kiss. There was none of the gentleness from earlier. She did not care, she was still angry at the way he had dismissed her earlier. This was what she wanted and she responded in kind.
